Desecration of a Gurdwara ?

News broke this week that another Gurdwara might have been desecrated by extremists.

I refer to the events unfolding at Guru Tegh Bahadur Gurdwara in Leicester. I was sent images of some very unsavoury large banners that were hanging on the outer walls of the Gurdwara. You can see from the image, not only does the banner spread lies, but it also seems to promote a known terrorist, Hardeep Singh Nijjar.

I was so concerned at this desecration of a sacred place of worship, and the dishonouring of our Gurus, that I was compelled to write to the trustees and seek their response to issues arising.

I informed them that the posters:

a.    Promote lies.

b.    Make unsubstantiated accusations on three members of the Indian government.

c.    Make a false declaration that those individuals are wanted.

I also asked the trustees to:

1.    Remove the said illegal posters that promote hatred, incite violence, and promote falsehoods.

2.    Make a public apology to the individuals whom they have falsely accused.

3.    Make a commitment to make reparations for the hurt caused.

4.    Put policy in place to ensure such transgressions do not happen again.

I gave them 7 days to respond, they failed. In my view the trustees have exhibited incredible levels of negligence by failing to abide by the objects of their own charity. I have therefore asked the Charity Commission to intervene.

There has been a huge outcry by Hindus and Sikhs that has forced the Gurdwara to remove the offensive and discourteous banners.  However, we cannot ignore that their actions are nothing short of being grotesque.

FISIUK (Friends of India Soc Intl UK) said, ‘FISI strongly condemns the anti-India poster that was recently displayed at the Guru Tegh Bahadur Gurdwara in Leicester’. Adding, ‘95% of Sikhs in India are proud to be Indians as per Pew Research Report 2021’, and that ‘India had rejected these allegations as “absurd and motivated” and awaits coherent evidence from the Canadian government linking the assassination to India’.

The banners, and Gurdwara’s subsequent statement (see below) makes reference to the political situation in India. It then uses the unfounded and unproven allegations from the Canadian government claiming that the known terrorist and extremist, Hardeep Singh Nijjar was killed by ‘agents’ of the Indian government.  The truth being that the Indian government had declared Hardeep Singh Nijjar a criminal and a terrorist affiliated with the militant Khalistan Tiger Force and had sought his arrest. Interestingly, the said banner seemed to have missed this very important point.

The statement by the Gurdwara has the hallmarks of being political. Their own statement makes commentary on the politics of two nations, namely Canada and India. As a charity registered in the UK, it has broken the objects of its own charitable status.

It is clear that the trustees of the Gurdwara have brought it, and the beautiful and honourable traditions of the Sikh faith, into disrepute. They have failed in their primary duty of protecting the integrity of the Gurdwara and that of the Sikh faith.

People at the grassroots are fearful that an extremist Khalistani element might be infiltrating some Gurdwaras in the UK. We have witnessed this madness in Canada where one could say the Canadian government has given a safe bastion to these Khalistani terrorists.

As the Indian government has stated, after months of speculation and allegations from Canadian sources, including PM Trudeau, there has not been one piece of independently verifiable evidence that makes India complicit. Indeed, only last week three possible perpetrators of the said crime were arrested by Canadian authorities. All three are Sikh and it seems that this might have been gang related.

Puneet Sahani (USA), an Expert on evolution of the Sikh identity and Khalistani terrorism made an interesting observation on May 3 when he posted, ‘I’d said it as early as June 2023 that Nijjar was killed due to internal turf-war among Jattwadi gangs of SurreyBC for control of Khalistani Gurdwaras. Hope India degrades diplomatic ties with Canada at the earliest and proscribes World Sikh Organisation (WSO) as a terror outfit’.

The true Sikh community now need to find that warrior spirit that our Gurus galvanised and rid itself of these miscreants and protect the integrity of the faith.

The Fall of Iran?

Follow me on Twitter: @kk_OEG

When Iran launched some 300 drones and multiple ballistic missiles at Israel, my immediate thought was, the line that should not have been crossed has been breached. For decades Iran has managed to get away with its terrorist activities primarily because it played a smart game of funding and using proxies to carry out its directives.  Nations found it hard to hit back since whilst everyone knew who was behind many of these terrorist attacks, attacking Iran or making it accountable was proving to be challenging.  Hence the sanctions that were meant to cripple Iran and bring it to its knees.  The only problem, it was western nations who were first in line to break those very same sanctions and continue to make billions with various trades with Iran.

The message Iran received was very simple, the west was all mouth. The USA and its allies talk big, but when it came to tangible action, they just did not have the spine.  It was very different when the west attacked Iraq.  After all, Iraq was led by a below average lunatic whose only modus operandi of control was the use of death and fear on his own people. Iran however is an altogether a different proposition. Behind the mullahs and the ayatollahs are thousands of very intelligent Iranians.  Their strategic thinking and planning have allowed it to get away with murder, literally.

It is therefore alarming to see that they breached that line and orchestrated a direct attack on Israel from Iranian soil.  Their assessment I guess must be that the west will restrain Israel from any escalation.  Banking on the fear of the whole of the middle east going up in flames. Many western leaders have already come out attempting to caution Israel from taking any precipitous action against Iran.

So what should Israel do? If they don’t give a fitting reply directly to Iran, then they give a green light to every terrorist nation in the middle east to have a pop at it. It also confirms to the terror nations that when it comes to it, the west has no stomach for escalation fearing a middle eastern ‘World War III’.

My view has always been consistent, if you appease today, then ready yourself to be abused and attacked tomorrow. It is that simple. History shows us that appeasement has never worked with any aggressor, it may delay the inevitable, but the end game will have to be played out at some stage.

I am reminded of the Pakistani terrorist state and its 2008 attack on India in Mumbai. At that time the USA and allies warned India not to retaliate. The then PM Manmohan Singh of Congress Party gave in and did nothing sending a clear message to Pakistan that India was open to all forms of attacks. And guess what, Pakistani proxies continued their attacks. It was only when PM Modi came to power and gave a fitting response for Uri and Pulwama, that Pakistan today thinks very hard before attempting to play its games. Pakistan knows if they dare to conduct a major terrorist attack on Indian soil, it means their destruction.

Israel must remain true to itself.  There are nations in the middle east that wish peace and an end to terror and conflict. Those who support Iran are very few, and most are incompetent subordinates.

Israel should take its time before it teaches Iran a lesson. Iran has already threathened to destroy all western outposts in the middle east, as well as many oil refineries. Which means the west needs to make sure they are on the same page as Israel, and in a position to protect those assets. The difficulty will be in destroying Irans infrastructure to such an extent that its military have little capacity to attack anyone, and at the same time making sure the Iranian public are not harmed.  An impossible equation in any war situation.  However, there is scope that if the Islamists top tier and their revolutionary guards are uprooted, there may well be an opportunity for ordinary Iranians to rise up and bring about a more democratic, peaceful and open society.

Whether it is now, or in the near future, I am certain that the end for Islamists in Iran is nigh. Iran will fall, and one hopes it will rise again to become a better lead nation in the middle east. I did say, ‘hope’. Nothing is certain in the middle east!

Gall of Galloway

It seems leap year 2024 has delivered Galloway’s true love – public prominence, adulation from the faithful, and the opportunity to show case his oratory skills. Yes folks, 29th February 2024 George Galloway wiped Labour off the face of Rochdale to become its Member of Parliament.

I am not sure what this says about the people of Rochdale, but then, was this not also the place that tolerated the grooming gangs violating white vulnerable girls? They kept voting for Labour for decades whilst this wholesale abuse of their own girls was taking place right in front of their noses.

The debate thereafter has focussed on the Muslim vote and its power to dictate the outcome of elections. Rochdale was based totally on Gaza, and the candidate that was willing to support the Palestinian cause, as well as the madness of the ‘hate marches’ was given the vote.

Galloway was not shy.  He is never shy. The gall of Galloway being that he openly stated this election was for Gaza. That he stood for Gaza. However, let’s dig a bit deeper and understand if there is anything of relevance that this election showcases before the General Election.

The turnout was ONLY 39.7%, compared to a 60.1% turnout in the General Election.

So Rochdale is predominantly a white area. It forces one to conclude that it was this white area that elected George Galloway. It was this white area that saw white girls being sexually abused by grooming gangs of Pakistani heritage.  It is this white area that has allowed a pro-Gaza candidate to win a by election and be their legal representative in Parliament.

It seems to me the people of Rochdale need to hang their collective heads in shame for allowing this madness in their name.  There is no excuse for not voting. The people of Rochdale cannot abdicate their civic duty by not taking part in such an important by-election and then claim they did not elect Galloway.  There is only one truth, Galloway won the election fair and square.  He became the MP for Rochdale because the people of that town elected him.  It is that simple. How often in history do we have to remind people that often it is their silence and non-participation that allows the extremists and the unsavoury characters in our society to seek out a platform to promote hatred and discord.

There are extremist Islamist groups in the UK that have jumped on the bandwagon of the Rochdale election. They claim that they will control more than 40 seats at the next General Election.  Whilst this extreme element is united, I am not sure the rest of the Muslim community will all ditch their allegiance to the Labour Party. It will certainly fracture that vote giving us outcomes that are difficult to calculate.

At the same time Galloway has stated his party will contest 60 seats.  The Reform Party is determined to contest every Tory seat and take votes away from them.  It seems GE24 will see minor parties who may yield enough clout to take away sufficient votes away from the major parties and put a significant number of seats in state of flux. What you see in the polls might not be representative of what might transpire at the grassroots at election time.

One thing is for sure, the outcome of the next election might be the make or break for Britain. Do we go down the route of a government that is ready to side with the extremists across the world at the detriment of Britain? A government that may promote the ‘hate marchers’ with anarchy on our streets? A government that will pander to the illegals rather than those who wish to respect our laws.  Maybe GE24 will give this nation an opportunity to seriously think about its morals and values, and how these will be respected by all our citizens. That is the civic contract between state and the people.

Feeling Good – 2024

It’s a new dawn,

It’s a new day,

It’s a new life,

For me,

And I’m feeling good.

For many of you, the lyrics of the song ‘Feeling Good’ can inspire you into the new year with great optimism. In a world that seems to be in perpetual self-destruction. A world that appears to find new ways to galvanise its inhumanity. A world where greed and intolerance have become virtues for some.  A world where hate replaces love, anarchy replaces peace, injustice replaces righteousness, and a world where violence is seen as a legitimate first step to ‘reconciling’ difference. It can be difficult to get up in the morning and feel good.

However, for me regardless of any immediate issues or problems around me, around the nation or around the world – I wake up feeling good. Some might think this is madness, but for me feeling good is a state of mind.  As an individual there is a limit to what I can do to change the world.  I may strive to affect change via Kapil’s Khichadi, or via my public speaking, or via the daily tasks one performs. The easiest thing I can do is to affect change within, so that how I see the world around me is seen through eyes that seek out the nuggets of gold from the rubbish of human envy.

Yes folks, it’s a new dawn, it’s a new day, it’s a new life for me, and I’m feeling good in 2024.

2024 will bring forth utter madness in the UK as we work towards our general elections. Keir Starmer appears to be running away with the election, but will Jeremy Corbyn and the Muslim community throw a spanner in the works and dismantle Labour’s plans for total victory?  Time will tell.

For PM Modi the future looks bright. He represents a global leader who puts nation first. Whilst I have often questioned the rate of change over the past 9 years, there is no doubt that PM Modi is a breath of fresh air not just for Bharat, but also for the world. In 2024 with the inauguration of Shri Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, he sends a signal to everyone that India is Bharat first. The ills of the past, the corrupt narrative of history written by invaders will be corrected, and the true custodians of Bharat will rise up and lead the world into a new era. I am feeling good, of course I am.

This dharmic energy affects the world as well in a positive way. A brush with PM Modi and the PM of Italy, Giorgia Meloni has become a fan. Other leaders in Europe who have mischaracterised India are now seriously looking at their own imperial prejudice that gets in the way of them being on the right side of India. We hear that President Emmanuel Macron took less than a second to accept the invite from India to attend as chief guest of honour to mark India’s Republic Day.

No sooner will Shri Ram Mandir be inaugurated; PM Modi will travel to Abu Dhabi to inaugurate the BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha Mandir. For the Middle East this is a genuine crossroads in history. Whilst Abu Dhabi leads, the rest of the Middle East lags significantly with many nations openly hostile to India and Indians. Maybe this seed of love, peace and reconciliation can encourage the growth for better relations between nations.

In America, a nation of extremes, the madness continues. Will President Trump 2.0 be in power? The answer is yes if they allow him to stand. As it is, every public institution is currently engaged in every tactic to stop the former president from standing for the highest office. I suspect the drama has just started. Will President Trump be feeling good in 2024?  Time will tell.

Israel has shown the world, enough is enough. It has given a response to the Palestinian terrorists that redefines the scope of what a nation can to do to defend itself and its people. India should take note, as should India’s neighbours!

In the age of Kali, we must strive to find our own nirvana. Feeling good is a state of mind. Whilst everything around us goes mad, it’s up to us to seek out the shoots of positive energy. Be the change ourselves and do our karma with steadfastness.

A happy new year to all of you. Have a great 2024.
