British MP’s support for Terrorists

OPEN LETTER

29th June 2022

Dear Prime Minister,

I write to you on an important matter regarding sitting British MPs who come across through their speech and action, as supportive of extremists and terrorists.

I note the discredited letter from Tahir Ali (Birmingham Hall Green), Imran Hussain (Bradford East), Khalid Mahmood (Birmingham Perry Barr) and Muhammad Yasin (Bedford) sent to you on 22nd June 2022 in which they express untruths about India and demand that a self-confessed convicted Islamic terrorist (Hurriyat leader of Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front: Muhammad Yasin Malik) be released from Indian prison.

I believe a number of other Labour MPs have also shown their support for such grotesque acts. This pattern of Labour MPs supporting extremists and terrorists is not new. However, of late their audacity to openly express untruths, to incite hatred that can so often lead to violence, and to use ‘Islamophobia’ as a tool to cancel people and legitimate inquiry is not only unacceptable in a civil society, but in my view, in breach of legislation. It is also my view that such MPs are in breach of Parliamentary standards and in their duty of care in not only inciting discord in the UK, but also abroad.

This week we have witnessed two Muslim men murder an innocent Hindu man for merely lending support to a fellow citizen who was being threathened with her life by Islamists. Not only did they murder Kanhaiya Lal, but they also videoed their abhorrent barbaric behaviour to share on social media. They declared it was done in the name of Islam.

The consequences of British parliamentarians and their support for terrorists has now resulted in the murder of an innocent tailor from Udaipur. How much more blood must be sacrificed before we in Britain make accountable those who incite the very hatred that results in such barbaric acts?

I ask you as our Prime Minister to take all necessary steps to bring to justice these rogue MPs who are unworthy to hold the high office of Member of Parliament, or to be a Member of the House of Lords.

We must never allow our MPs to wage their ideological war by abusing our nation’s highest offices.

There are thousands of Hindus (Sikhs, Jains and Buddhists) in the country who feel as I do. Their voice is not being heard. In the past we have witnessed the same pattern when the Jewish community was and have faced similar threats to life and limb and their voice was also not heard. Today we are witnessing spine chilling anti-Hindu rhetoric from Labour MPs. This is not too dissimilar to the antisemitism that was so rampant in the Labour Party, an evil that was exposed recently through the EHRC.

I can give you many more examples of unacceptable behaviour by such MPs, but suffice to say, I am sure your office is aware of most of them already. Lest we forget, on the afternoon of 22 May 2013, Fusilier Lee Rigby of the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers was attacked and killed by Michael Adebolajo and Michael Adebowale near the Royal Artillery Barracks in Woolwich for the same ideological reasons. We do not want to see such violence borne of an evil ideology on our streets again. It is also our duty to make sure that our MPs do not incite such brutality on the streets of other nations. In my view, their conduct falls far short of the Nolan principles on public life.

I have raised these issues with the RT Hon Sir Keir Starmer MP several times. Alas it appears that either he subscribes to the actions of his MPs, or he is impotent as a leader to do anything.

I place my hope in you and the office of the Prime Minster to take appropriate action now.  I am readily available should you wish to discuss the emerging issues in greater detail.

Thank you.

Yours sincerely,

Kapil Dudakia
